Clue #6 Back To The Future

We googled the truth and crowned it divine,

Counted the nation one checkbox at a time.

Old timers chuckled, “the map’s still upside down,”

While numbers moonwalked through a paper-clip town.

The footnotes escaped in a filing conga,

And history pressed “undo”… then thought, “nah, longer.”

1. *21=1756 is kinda tall if you’re Kabi. Around since the good ol’ ‘30’s, Mervyn took us on! 
2. *21=3355 is like Canberra, wedged halfway. Feeling kind of low, but I’m way ahead in the air! 
3. *21=16488 has me green with envy, but wattle you do? Shiver me timbers, it was in the 1870’s!
4. *21=6978 I needed to change around 1885. I bet you’ll knot be able to work it out! 
5. *21=14036 is it bread, fruit, mud or crab? You can’t win ‘em all though I guess! 
6. *21=7445 and had the voice here in 1988 for some reason? Something about ice and the US!
