C6 Crack The Code 26

A month long beer treasure hunt across South East Queensland

Carbon 6 Brewing is turning the whole of South East Queensland into a giant treasure map in February 2026.

Carbon 6: Crack The Code ‘26 is a month long scavenger hunt that sends beer lovers road tripping between six mystery breweries, solving clues, and hunting down hidden puzzle pieces. Six winners will crack the code and walk away with an absolutely stacked prize haul that celebrates everything we love about local beer.

If you have ever wanted an excuse to grab a mate, jump in the car, and explore more independent breweries, this is it.

What is Crack The Code ‘26?

Crack The Code ‘26 is a real world scavenger hunt created by Carbon 6 Brewing.

Across February 2026 we will be releasing a series of clues that lead to six hidden puzzle pieces. Each piece is tied close to a specific brewery location somewhere between the Gold Coast and Noosa.

Your mission is simple, but not exactly easy:

  1. Follow the clues
  2. Work out the general area
  3. Track down the hidden piece
  4. Crack the code and claim your prize

Six puzzle pieces. Six awesome winners. One massive month of adventure.

When is it happening?

The hunt kicks off on Monday 2nd February 2026 and runs across the whole month.

Clues will drop four times a week in the lead up to, and during, the hunt:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 pm
  • All clues will be posted on the Carbon 6 Brewing social media channels
  • We will use a dedicated hashtag so you can follow along and share your progress: #CrackTheCode26
  • All clues will collated here on the blog for easy progess

Early clues will be pretty cryptic. As the weeks go on, things will get a little clearer, so there is always a reason to keep checking in and refining your guesses.

How the clues work

We want this to feel like a TV series that unfolds week by week.

  • Week 1
Super cryptic, high level clues that hint at regions, directions and themes. You will get a sense of the map, not the exact pins.
  • Week 2
More detail appears. You will start to connect clues to specific suburbs, landmarks or venues. At this point, sharp eyes and local knowledge really pay off.
  • Weeks 3 and 4
The picture comes into focus. The final rounds of clues will make it possible for dedicated hunters to lock in an area and go searching on the ground.

Along the way, our partner breweries will also be part of the story. Inside each venue you will find a physical clue that ties into the overall puzzle and points you toward the hidden lockbox within a 1km distance outside of their venue, accessible 24/7.

Nothing will be completely handed to you, but everything is solvable with a bit of patience, a few mates, and maybe a beer in hand while you plan.

What you can win

Six people will crack the code and find a puzzle piece.

Each winner will receive a prize pack that is very much worth the effort:

  • A gift from each of the six participating breweries
  • A Brew Invitational experience
    • Join in on a collaborative brew day at Carbon 6
    • Come back for packaging day of your beer
    • Receive a carton of the beer you helped brew
  • Four custom beer coasters featuring the beer you helped create
  • Two free pints at Carbon 6 Brewing to celebrate your win
  • A half day brewery tour thanks to Hop On Brewery Tours

That is six winners, six breweries and thirty six serious prizes in total.

Who can take part?

Crack The Code ‘26 is open to:

  • Anyone over 18 years of age
  • Who can safely travel around South East Queensland
  • And is keen to support independent breweries while having a bit of fun

You do not need to be a beer expert. You do not need to be ultra fit. You just need curiosity, a phone for maps and clues, and enough common sense to explore safely and responsibly.

How to get involved

Getting started is easy.

  1. Follow Carbon 6 Brewing on social media
Turn on post notifications so you do not miss clue drops.
  2. Watch for the announcement post in January
We will share a full rundown of how to play.
  3. Start planning your route
Once the first clues drop on Monday 2nd of February, you can start narrowing down regions and deciding where you want to explore first.
  4. Hit the road and hunt
Visit breweries, look for in venue hints, and get searching within the clue areas. When you find a puzzle piece, follow the instructions to confirm your win.

Why we created Crack The Code

Crack The Code ‘26 is our way of:

  • Shouting about the quality of beer in South East Queensland and surrounding regions
  • Encouraging people to visit multiple independent breweries, not just one
  • Creating a shared experience the community can follow and talk about for a whole month
  • Giving six people a ridiculous amount of beer and bragging rights

It is part road trip, part puzzle, part celebration of the venues that keep local beer alive.

A quick note on safety and responsibility

We love good times, but we also care about people getting home safely.

  • Plan a designated driver for your brewery visits
  • Make use of public transport or rideshare options where possible
  • Pace yourself and drink plenty of water
  • Respect venues, staff, parks and public spaces when you are searching

There are no prizes for reckless behaviour. The real win is making great memories and still feeling good the next morning.

Stay in the loop

In the lead up to February 2026 we will be sharing:

  • Teaser posts and subtle hints
  • Behind the scenes content
  • A full breakdown of how to validate your win if you crack the code

Keep an eye on:

  • Our social media
  • The hashtag #CrackTheCode26

And of course, we will keep this blog updated with any key information or changes as we get closer to launch.
