How we can beer at Carbon 6 Brewing

Getting beer into cans is an essential part of any brewery's operations, and it's no different here at Carbon 6 Brewing.

As we don't own a canning line, we rely on the team from Craft Punks Canning and their mobile set-up, to visit us when there's beer ready to go to pack!

The day starts off early in the morning, with the Craft Punks team arriving at the brewery to get all the equipment unloaded from their truck and set up.
Once everything is in place, and hooked up, we're ready to start canning! Cans are fed into the start of the line by a rotating table top. These pass through a machine that prints date codes and best before markings to the bottom of each can.

The cans proceed to the filling station where they are firstly purged with CO2 to remove any oxygen, before being filled with one of our Carbon 6 beers.
Each can receives a lid, which is tightly fitted in the seamer machine (a cool process to watch), before getting a quick rinse and blow dry.
Cans then proceed down to the end of the line, where they are secured in 4-pack holders, packed into cardboard cases, then placed straight into cold storage, all ready to be sold!
