We started Carbon 6 in 2022 with one goal: to make better beer, without the B.S.
The name comes from the sixth carbon atom in glucose, the starting point of fermentation. It's a subtle nod to the science behind what we do, but we’re not here to give you a chemistry lesson. We're here to make beer that tastes good, drinks clean, and keeps you coming back.

We're based in Stapylton on the northern Gold Coast,
Brewing small batches of beer that cover the classics, lager, pale ale, with the occasional sour or seasonal release when the mood strikes. Yes, we’ve done a fruited sour. No, it doesn’t taste like a slushie.
Everything we brew is cold-stored from day one and packed fresh. No shortcuts, no weird aftertastes, just proper beer.

Meet our Brewer
Reece is our head brewer and the talent behind the tap.
With nearly six years of experience across Brisbane and Ipswich, he cut his teeth at Helios Brewing under one of the local legends, Charlie. Now brewing up a storm at Woolgoolga. From there, Reece took the helm at 4 Hearts (now Stony Creek), where he delivered everything from cult favourites like the Raspberry Donut Sour to bold, black NEIPAs that turned heads.

These days, he runs the show at Carbon 6 Brewing. Equal parts General Manager, Head Brewer, and resident quality-control freak, Reece is the brain (and palate) behind every recipe. He’s the reason our beers are crisp, clean, and never try-hard. His current favourite? Our Carbon Dry lager but he’s not one to settle down. There’s always a new brew vying for top spot.

How we work
We brew in small batches, not big factories.
Every beer is made on-site at our brewery in Stapylton. No dusty kegs. No mystery contracts. Just fresh, local beer, straight from the source.
We let the beer do the talking.
No weird ingredients for the sake of it. No beers that taste like birthday cake or regret. We chase balance, not shock value.
We keep it cold and ship it fast.
Our beer goes from tank to can to cold storage, then straight to your fridge. No middlemen. No warm warehouses. Just fresh-as beer, the way it should be.
We clean. A lot.
Ask any brewer, the secret to good beer is boring: clean tanks, clean lines, clean everything. It’s not sexy, but it’s essential.
